Vern Williams

Vern Williams was an Arkansas-born mandolinist and singer who became a central figure in California bluegrass, first in the duo Vern & Ray with Ray Park and later leading the Vern Williams Band with his son Delbert and Keith Little. He influenced younger West Coast musicians, notably Laurie Lewis and Kathy Kallick, who recorded Laurie & Kathy Sing the Songs of Vern & Ray (2014).
