Tews
Bands / Ensembles
The Tews were a bluegrass duo formed in 1996 by Keith Tew and his wife, Danette Tew, when they married. Keith, from Hialeah, Florida, had played in the Florida band Highstrung and with the Big Thunder Mountain Boys at Disney World, and drove a truck for 14 years before the couple moved to Nashville in 1998. Danette was a singer and songwriter who had released a country album and worked for Gaylord Entertainment, the company that produced the Grand Ole Opry. The two wrote "Am I a Fool," which the Lonesome River Band recorded. Keith joined Rhonda Vincent and the Rage in 1999.
