Silverado
Other Works / Media (Movie)
Silverado (1985) is an American Western directed by Lawrence Kasdan and starring Kevin Kline, Scott Glenn, Danny Glover, and Kevin Costner. The movie received generally positive reviews, was nominated for two Academy Awards, and became especially memorable for Kevin Kline’s line, “I love a good saloon.” which Nancy Hicks Pate quoted in her column. The line becomes a touchstone for the mix of nostalgia and grit that defined her touring years as she describes her own fondness for playing late-night bar gigs.
