Robert Cantwell

Robert Cantwell is an American scholar of folklore and American studies, long at the University of North Carolina, whose books include Bluegrass Breakdown: The Making of the Old Southern Sound (1984), a study of Bill Monroe and bluegrass, and When We Were Good: The Folk Revival (1996).
