Reno Brothers
Bands / Ensembles
The Reno Brothers (1984–2001) were a bluegrass band formed by the three sons of banjo player Don Reno: Ronnie Reno (guitar, lead vocals), Dale Reno (mandolin) and Don Wayne Reno (banjo). The brothers grew up playing in their father's band, the Tennessee Cut-Ups, and toured with him as the Reno Family in 1983. Ronnie had also played with the Osborne Brothers and in Merle Haggard's band, the Strangers. After Don Reno died in 1984, Dale and Don Wayne first formed a group of their own and then joined Ronnie to form the Reno Brothers. The band's lineup also included Pearly Curtis on Dobro.
