Nashville Palace

Venues

The Nashville Palace is a honky-tonk in Nashville, Tennessee, opened in 1977 by John A. Hobbs across the street from the new Grand Ole Opry House and the Opryland complex. Its location made it the after-hours hangout for Opry stars and for performers from TV shows like Hee Haw and Nashville Now. Early regulars included the likes of Jerry Reed, Roy Acuff, George Jones, Porter Wagoner, and Johnny Cash. The original club closed in the mid-2000s, but the Palace was later revived under new ownership and is now run by Hobbs's grandson, Barrett Hobbs.
