Kitsy Kuykendall

Katherine "Kitsy" Kuykendall is a longtime bluegrass organizer and supporter and the widow of Bluegrass Unlimited founder Pete Kuykendall. A familiar presence at East Coast festivals and IBMA conventions, she chaired IBMA's Fan Fest, was elected to the IBMA board in 2000 as an at-large member, and remained involved with Bluegrass Unlimited through its 2020 transfer to the Bluegrass Hall of Fame and Museum, whose research library bears her and Pete's names.
