Karen Spence
Karen Spence is a guitarist, bassist and singer who played in and later led the Grass Reflection, a family bluegrass band from northern Virginia. She played bass in the band alongside her brothers Kevin and Steve Spence, and the group performed as the Spence Kids until 1973. She switched to guitar by 1983, after Kevin left the band to join the Army. She also led a lineup of the Grass Reflection that included Casey Henry and Lisa Kay Howard. She recorded her first album under her own name, With Love to Daddy, in 1985.
