Kaleidoscope Records
Labels / Record Companies
Kaleidoscope Records was an independent label based in El Cerrito, California, co-owned by Tom Diamant and Jeff Alexson. It released contemporary acoustic music by artists such as the David Grisman Quintet and singer-songwriter Kate Wolf. Starting in 1982, it also issued the Tiffany Transcriptions, a celebrated series of Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys radio recordings that Diamant and Alexson licensed from the heir of the company that made them. Rhino Records bought the Kaleidoscope catalog on September 29, 1992.
