Jill Snider

Jill Snider, who has also gone by Jill Crabtree, is an American bluegrass bassist, singer and event producer. She played bass and sang tenor in Wild & Blue, the band she formed in the late 1980s with her sister, guitarist and lead singer Jan Harvey, and Jan's husband, mandolinist and guitarist David Harvey. Banjo player Barry Crabtree, to whom she was later married, joined in 1995. Over its roughly 12-year run, Wild & Blue played bluegrass festivals, appeared on the Grand Ole Opry and recorded five projects. SPBGMA named it Best New Band in 1992. She sang with her sisters Jan Harvey and Teresa Steed on "Say It With Love," from David Harvey's tribute album Moody Bluegrass Two…Much Love. She worked for the IBMA from 2000 to 2013 as its convention services and member services director, managing logistics for the annual World of Bluegrass events, and has worked in freelance festival production since 2013. She was executive producer of the 2025 IBMA Bluegrass Music Awards in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
