Hatley Family Band

The Hatley Family Band (c.1981) is a bluegrass gospel family band from Stanfield, North Carolina. Its lineup is Ervin Hatley (fiddle), Gary Hatley (guitar), Ronnie Hatley (banjo), Donnie Hatley (mandolin), Teresa Hatley (bass) and Sandy Hatley (Dobro). Sandy Crisco Hatley, Gary's wife, is a freelance writer for North Carolina newspapers, Bluegrass Unlimited and Bluegrass Today, and as a teenager played banjo in an all-woman band, the Happy Hollow String Band. Gary, Ronnie and Donnie Hatley also played in Bluegrass Special, formed in 1999 at the Oakboro Music Hall.
