Earl Taylor
Earl Taylor (1929–1984) was an American mandolinist, harmonica player, and singer who led Earl Taylor & the Stoney Mountain Boys. He also played with Jimmy Martin and Flatt & Scruggs and worked for many years in Cincinnati, including with Jim McCall. Taylor played a historic role in introducing bluegrass to the urban folk revival movement when his band became the first-ever bluegrass group to perform at New York's Carnegie Hall in April 1959.
