Cousin Emmy
Cynthia May Carver (1903–1980), known as Cousin Emmy, was an American banjo player, fiddler, and singer from Kentucky who became one of the first women stars of country radio in the 1930s and '40s, known for her flamboyant stage persona and comedy. She later found a new audience in the folk revival, recording with the New Lost City Ramblers in 1968.
