Clearwater
Bands / Ensembles
Clearwater (1989–) was a bluegrass band from Virginia founded by guitarist, singer, and songwriter Johnny Williams, who grew up near Fries, in Grayson County. In 1989 Williams hired singer Jeanette Finney, as the band's tenor singer. The two married in 1991. As Jeanette Williams's vocals became the band's focus, it was renamed Jeanette Williams and Clearwater around 1996, and later the Jeanette Williams Band. Johnny Williams remained the band's guitarist, manager and main songwriter.
