Cathy Fink

Cathy Fink is an American banjo player, guitarist, singer, and songwriter, born in Maryland, who began her career in Canada in the early 1970s playing coffeehouses and busking. She is known as a master of clawhammer banjo. With her partner Marcy Marxer she has performed old-time, bluegrass, swing, folk, and children's music for decades. The duo won two Grammy Awards for children's albums and more than 60 WAMMIE awards, and has taught at close to 100 music camps. Fink was also a member of the all-woman group Blue Rose. In WIB she appears with Marxer in a playful Sesame Street fantasy lineup and teaches old-time banjo at Steve Kaufman's Banjo Kamp.
