Buddy Griffin
Buddy Griffin (1948–2025) was a West Virginia-born bluegrass multi-instrumentalist, educator, and premier fiddle and banjo player whose career spanned over four decades. A fixture of traditional acoustic music, he performed on the Grand Ole Opry more than 200 times, tracked on over 150 albums with legends like Jim & Jesse and the Osborne Brothers, and in 2002 helped found the world's first accredited four-year college degree program in bluegrass music at Glenville State College.
