Bob Fowler

Bob Fowler is an American bluegrass guitarist and singer who, with his wife Ingrid (daughter of bandleader Woody Herman), founded the Bay Area band Styx River Ferry in 1969. That same year the couple started bluegrass nights at Paul's Saloon in San Francisco's Marina District, which became the center of the city's bluegrass scene for about a decade. He later played guitar and sang with Bill Monroe's Blue Grass Boys. After moving to Nashville, he and Ingrid were among the group that opened the Station Inn in 1974.
