Bluegrass Now

Publishers / Periodicals

Bluegrass Now was a national bluegrass magazine first published in December 1990 by Wayne Bledsoe, with Deb Bledsoe as managing editor. It aimed to bring a polished, professional look to bluegrass coverage at a time when the genre was growing in popularity. The magazine ran album sales charts and sponsored a workshop stage at IBMA's World of Bluegrass. Rising paper and postage costs led it to stop printing in May 2008 and shift to its website, and Bledsoe closed the magazine entirely with the December 2008 issue, citing the economic downturn.
