Billy Smith
William Patrick "Billy Boone" Smith (born November 11, 1956) is a country/bluegrass singer, guitarist & songwriter. Billy, grew up in Caswell County, North Carolina, playing music with his brother Terry Smith, father Pat, and mother, Hazel Smith, a noted country music radio and television personality. Carlton Haney invited them to play the historic first bluegrass festival in Fincastle, Virginia as the Smith Family. They also toured with Arthur Smith And His Cracker-Jacks. Billy moved to Nashville, Tennessee as a teenager in the early 1970s.
