Bill Keith

William Bradford "Bill" Keith (December 20, 1939 – October 23, 2015) was an American banjo player whose melodic style changed bluegrass banjo. He joined Bill Monroe's Blue Grass Boys in 1963, and because Monroe already had a “Bill” in the band, Monroe called him "Brad." He also played with Red Allen, and Muleskinner, and with Dan Bump he designed the Keith tuners that let banjo players retune strings mid-song.
